MARTINIS & SINATRA
"You guys were fabulous. I appreciate all of the attention to details ... and all of the Sinatra. If those darn speeches didn't get in the way, we could have listened to you all evening! Thanks again."
- Lisa Hjorth, VP of Human Resources Plano Molding Company

Sinatra. The name is synonymous with the Great American Songbook, but it evokes so much more. As a 20th century icon, for tens of millions of people Sinatra represents the good life. Martinis & Sinatra captures the esprit de corps of that bygone era and re-presents it for today’s audience; for people who work hard and play hard, and who appreciate and enjoy great food, live entertainment, and cocktail hours.
What is Martinis & Sinatra? To best explain what it is, it is perhaps best to start with what it is not: Martinis & Sinatra is not a Sinatra act or ‘schtick' (can you think of anything less 'Sinatra-cool' than an impersonator wearing a hat and trench coat on stage?). Led by vocalist Dan Ferris, and backed by some of the best musicians in Chicago, Martinis & Sinatra performs the music of Sinatra-era composers––the artists that provided the musical soundtrack for midcentury America: Cole Porter, the Gershwins, Sammy Cahn, Rogers & Hart, Michel Legrand, Antonio Carlos Jobim and many more.
The music performed by Martinis & Sinatra provides an upscale and exciting atmosphere for clubs, corporate receptions, trade shows, weddings, events, and cocktail and holiday parties. Martinis & Sinatra will have you and your guests listening, mingling, dancing, drinking, networking, and just plain having fun!

"The Dan Ferris performance was the first show at the Morton Arboretum that broke the 1,000 attendee mark for our concert series. I don't think we would have kept the program going had we not had such a success to conclude the year. Dan worked our open lawn as if it were an intimate club of 100. The music appealed to an audience that ranged from twenty-somethings to eighty-year-olds. The show eventually ended due to darkness, but the crowd wanted more. Had we had stage lighting at the time, I think we would have run through his entire repertoire.”
- Bob Noonan, Visitor Services Manager, The Morton Arboretum

“Vocalist Dan Ferris managed to find something new to say in 'Witchcraft,' a song indelibly associated with Frank Sinatra."

“We would like to express our experiences regarding the quality of Dan Ferris’ performance and entertainment style. We have seen Dan perform many times at both Pete Miller’s locations (Wheeling and Evanston) and have enjoyed the Martinis and Sinatra format immensely. We have also seen Dan perform at smaller venues and large private parties. Dan is very adaptable and all of these outings were excellent. At Pete Millers we were able to muster a group of 6-10 friends every week for Dan’s show. It turned into a nice regular night out for our group. We also planned our company Christmas party with Dan's Martinis & Sinatra. It was a very nice way to celebrate the holidays.”
